Plot summary

The film follows the life of Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar or "Raghu" (Sanjay Dutt), a school dropout who lives in a chawl with his retired father Namdev (Shivaji Satam), mother Shanta (Reema Lagoo) and a graduate but unemployed brother Vijay (Mohnish Behl). Raghu and his best friend Chandrakant a.k.a "Dedh Footiya" (Sanjay Narvekar) struggle to find work in Mumbai.
